In Saffer's article he discussed the idea of muscular design and how researching what your designing can have a huge impact on the out come of the product or design. The research could even change the way something is currently done or maybe sheds light on a faster or more productive way of doing the current task at hand. Muscular design is design that shift or open new paths. Saffer referenced the current green push to lower our human footprint on the earth.
