Jill is a married mother of two children. Her oldest daughter is in college at WMU in their hometown of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Her other daughter is a senior in high school, but college is right around the corner for her. For Jill and her husband Jack money is a little tight. With their wedding anniversary right around the corner she wants to plan a get-a-way that feels like they are taking an exotic vacation, but still has the convenience of being close to the kids. Affordability is essential to the place that they will choose.
Goal: To find an affordable comfortable stay that has all the comforts of home but also feels like they traveled to a different place.
Motivators: Afforability. They want a great price for a great stay, and they want to be in a prime location for local events and activities.
Problem Setting: They are not from the area so finding out about the Wildgoose Inn may be tough. It is small so they will have to book far in advance. The only way to view it in advance is on the internet.
Online Affordances: The online environment will provide all the necessary information needed to book a room without actually having to talk to a person. You can view the room, makes plans, get directions, book your stay, etc.
