STORYBOARDS: series of drawings or images that represent how an interface would be used to accomplish a particular task. They are used to determined how the interface will work and how it supports each step the user makes.
WIRE FRAMES: this is used in determining page layout and navigation, shows what content goes where.
COMPS:visual representations that show the look of the interface (colors, fonts, layout, logos, etc) Sometimes these show variations in style and use dummy text and links.
PAPER PROTOTYPING: "a variation of usability testing where representative users perform realistic tasks by interacting with a paper version of the interface that is manipulated by a person 'playing computer', who doesn't explain how the interface is intended to work." (pg. 4)
