LEARNED HELPLESSNESS:
Learned helplessness is a phenomenon that refers to the situation in which people experience failure at a task, often numerous times. Consequently, they decide that the task cannot be done, at least not by them, and they stop trying. This gives rise to a sense of helplessness or an inability to cope with or devise ways to escape such situations, even when escape is possible.
